Fashion: Introducing the Real You.

How would you describe yourself to someone?

Oh wow. Well, I do that mostly with my dressing from my hairstyle or hair covering or hair accessories, to my footwear and other accessories.

I use fashion to introduce who I am on the inside, to the outside world.

Most times, I have not needed to verbally describe myself. I try to be a “what you see is what you get” kind of person with an undertone of “there’s more to me than you can see.”

I prefer that others do the verbal descriptions. I show you who I am, you decode my persona to the best of your understanding from the details of looks, dressing, and choice of outfit.

I may like to talk, but I don’t like describing myself.

Because just like fashion is designed to also fit the changes of every season, so we change as a consequence of self-discovery/development, positive progress, and growth. The basic elements are the same but in different variations, based on times and seasons.

The thing about words is, once you say them, people expect them to never change. Yes, we should be people of our words, which is why it is important to let people know, that although you are sure of what you are saying and you mean them, you are still work in progress and you still have so much to learn.

With these in mind, I can describe myself as passionate, sanguine, vivacious follower of Jesus Christ, a royal priesthood and princess of the Most High GOD.

That’s as much as I allow myself to describe about me.

The rest is for God and me to know and for genuinely loving people to find out.🤩

Dinosaur Disruptions: Yay or Nay?

If you could bring back one dinosaur, which one would it be?

What?! You mean there were different types of dinosaurs?! Oh dear.

Personally, I wouldn’t want any gigantic land creature around. But, maybe with all the craziness going on in our world today, a gigantic distraction might be just what we need — the size of a dinosaur. 🦕 Just maybe.

When there’s danger (like covid) that is no respecter of what you were in your “closet”, the alphabet of choice, santimonious “rights” to enter and siphon Africa directly or indirectly for the “common good”, and so on and so forth; folks just generally become humbled.

Imagine if there were dinosaurs in Africa, for instance, just like during covid, countries will begin withdrawing their citizens from Africa.

I learnt that the “love” for Africa is only when profit and promise of riches are involved. Once a life-threatening situation is rumoured to be on the horizon, surface lovers of Africa will fly out of it, with immediate alacrity.

Now, I wonder how animal rights activists will respond to such a gigantic interruption. Much as I want to be fair to them, I seriously doubt they would want a dinosaur around them, or be fully responsible for one. Most especially the pro-abortionists among them.

It will be fun, to watch how they will justify we all contribute to the wellbeing of dinosaurs, while they scream “death to unborn clumps of cells.” According to them, we can’t afford more children as a human race, but we can afford to cater to the needs of dinosaurs. Aw😒

I think the advantages and disadvantages of a dinosaur in this time and age, are 50/50 — as long as some crazy folks don’t think of owing the dinosaur and using it as weapon of mass destruction.

Chances are many will try to kill the dinosaurs or try to cage them for their viewing “pleasure” – none of which I find appealing.

I don’t want gigantic creatures rampaging around the world. But if that is what it takes, to bring sanity, humility and righteousness to earth, then so be it.

Memories: Girl likes Boy

Write about your first crush.

Are you kidding?

Wow. I guess you aren’t because, ouch. Trying to remember which is first means I have to go past the others.

Well, the first one was when I was… five?

I don’t know when I first started liking the boy. But I dreamt of him once, and I became fully aware of him, as a boy I would like as a future husband.

I didn’t know how one was to go about such things. Nor did I know what I, him or we are to do between that time, and when we become accomplished and matured.

I can’t exactly recall what he or I said. But I felt a “No” from him, because I begun seeing less of him.

Now that I think about it, I must have tried being wherever he was or something. And maybe I asked we be friends.

Just guessing.

Because my complete aversion for asking a man I like to be my friend, must have come from somewhere. That is, apart from my Bible which says, “He that findeth a wife…” and “Therefore shall a man leave his mother and father and cleave to his wife…”, of course.

Nothing came of it. Though I can’t remember what was said or not said, but I feel sad, remembering — as if I was rejected.

There were other crushes as I grew older, with all drama details remembered, but they weren’t the first, so….🤷🏽‍♀️
